The NEMA Young and Emerging Museum Professionals (YEP) PAG seeks to bring together young and emerging museum professionals for networking and educational opportunities. The group defines "young and emerging" as professionals in the field for less than 10 years, students and recent graduates entering the field, and volunteers, part-time employees, or others who wish to further their career goals. If you feel you will benefit from the group, or can benefit the group with your experience, we welcome your involvement.

The YEP PAG's goals are to create networking opportunities, both peer to peer and peer to mentor, to create a contact list to enable YEP members to contact each other, to expose new and emerging museum professionals to various cultural organizations, historic sites, and museums through outings and events, and, through staff introductions, introduce members to various positions within museums.

The PAG strives for a minimum of one event per quarter, including a presence at the NEMA Annual Conference, and the workshop series. All YEP members are encouraged to suggest events and programs that will benefit their professional development, as the group is designed to further one's career goals through exposure to and experience with various aspects of the field.
