New England Independent Museum Professional Fee Survey, 2009
The Independent Museum Professionals PAG of the New England Museum Association undertook a comprehensive survey of fees, billing practices and related business practices in the summer of 2009. The questionnaire was administered using Survey Monkey and was made widely available to members and non-members of NEMA. All responses were anonymous. There were 101 surveys completed, at least in part, although many questions yielded significant blank answers.
The survey instrument and final report was produced by Laura Roberts and Erica Donnis. They extend heartfelt thanks to the NEMA staff and a host of cooperative testers for their assistance and advice.
