Get your can to conference!
As you pack your bags for the NEMA Conference this year, find some room for a few cans of food to donate to Open Pantry Community Services, Inc., the Springfield area food bank. We're out to show that the New England museum community cares!

NEMA is partnering with our conference host, Sheraton Springfield Monarch Place, to raise food and money for this key resource in the city of Springfield. The hotel has taken the lead with a generous cash pledge, and now it is our turn to show how much the museum community "can" make a difference.

Open Pantry Community Services, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that since 1975 has delivered vital nourishment to those in need. We will have a donation box near the conference registration area for your non-perishable canned goods (and another box for cash/check contributions in case you forget your can). Let's take this opportunity to show how much museums MATTER!

Career Conversation Center
New for 2010! The Career Conversation Center is a dynamic place for emerging museum professionals to interact with museum veterans in a small-group setting, building knowledge and networking. Here’s your chance to learn first-hand about the professional path of some of our field’s most respected leaders. Advance your career with their experiences! Join Joseph Carvalho, former President and Executive Director of the Springfield Museums Association Wednesday; Beverly Morgan-Welch, Executive Director of the Museum of African American History on Thursday; and Carl R. Nold, President and CEO of Historic New England on Friday.

Volunteer
All volunteer postions have been filled at this time.
We are looking for volunteers to assist us throughout the conference, staffing the registration desk, checking meeting rooms between sessions, supervising off-site travel arrangements, and more. Volunteers who work one shift can attend the rest of that day for free. For working three shifts, volunteers receive a complimentary registration for the whole meeting. Preference is given to individuals who live near the conference site.

Exhibit Hall
(If you would like information about being a vendor in the Exhibit Hall please see our information on Exhibit Hall - Advertising - Sponsorship Opportunities)

You’ll be amazed at the variety of products and services presented in the Exhibit Hall, open from 8:00 a.m. Thursday ‘til 1:00 pm Friday.

—and a chance to win a prize!

Our Exhibitors have donated fabulous prizes, which we raffle off at the Exhibit Hall Closing Reception at 12:15 pm on Friday. Use your raffle card (found in your on-site registration packet) to collect exhibitors’ initials, and drop it in the Raffle Box for a chance to win!
